The
game started at a fast pace but it was the away team that got on
the score sheet first with the Eagles hit-man Darren Browne
finding the back of the net, only a couple of minutes into the
game. The home team pulled the game level with a Power-Play goal
as the Eagles conceded a penalty for having too many men on the
pad. Later in the period, Nathan Taylor put one away and Dave Barnes also hit the netting with
a long-ranger leaving the Eagles in the lead at the end of the
first.
The
second period was riddled with goals from both sides as Darren
Browne again found the back of the net for the second time,
along with 2 goals from Richie Grace and a goal from Kevan Grace.
The
final period ended with the Eagles goaltender Patrick Rooney
pulling off some fine saves while Richie Grace completed a fine hat
trick! Dave Barnes put the last one away to make it 9 for the
Eagles and it ended with a total reply of 6 from the Stars.
