07/11/06 - Eagles' Hopes to Start Beginner Hockey Lessons
Recently, at training, alot of people have been approaching us wondering about the sport and what is needed in terms of equipment and pre-requisite skills to get involved. To address the question of equipment, we have added our Equipment Guide to help people out. Now, the Eagles' Coach, Kevan Grace is hoping to organise beginner lessons for players wanting to get into the sport. we believe this is a great revelation for the sport as no other club is doing it (as far as we know). It will have a number of advantages; For beginners, they will not be thrown in with experienced players and out of their depth straight away and will not need to purchase all the protective equipment until they move to training level; For players, team practice sessions will not be affected by having to do more basic drilling.
The future of this of course depends on demand, so we ask anyone who is interested in starting Inline Hockey to Contact Us and when we have enoung people (hopefully quickly), we will arrange the lessons in the Forum in Enniskillen. The plan is that each lesson will cost £5, last for 30 minutes, taught by ex-professional player Kevan Grace and any proceeds over the hall rental cost will go to the Erne Eagles Inline Hockey Club.

29/08/06 - Eagles Regretfully Withdraw From NIIHA League
On receipt of the proposed league fixtures for the 06/07 season, a review by the committee was taken of the current position of the club generally with reference to the fixtures and our ability to produce a full team every two weeks for league games. It was concluded that this would unfortunately not be a possibility for us and therefore it would be unsuitable to try and enter the league this year. All at the club regret this decision but it is in the best interests of the club and its' members/players. In light of this, we now have a new focus which is to play in all tournaments and as many friendlies as possible during the season to get the team built up and practiced and to promote the sport in the North West of the country. Watch out for the Eagles in the 07/08 NIIHA League!!

28/08/06 - NIIHA League Fixtures Received

14/08/06 - Eagles Secure Sponsorship
The Eagles have secured sponsorship from The Hockey Locker in Belfast for the upcoming season 06/07. This is a big help to the Eagles as a club financially still finding their feet. Thanks again to the Hockey Locker for the Jerseys and the Eagles would like to take this opportunity to invite anyone else who would like to help with the Clubs' development to contact us regarding sponsorship. We hope to secure and are in talks with some other business sponsors presently. No reasonable offer refused!!!!

09/07/06 - Badgers come to Eagles Nest
For the second training session of the Erne Eagles in Enniskillen, some of the players from the Ballymoney Badgers came down to join the training session. Due to a late arrival, they were unfortunately only able to come in for the last 15 minutes of the session.
All was not lost though as the badgers booked another hour of the hall to play in. We had a great Badgers vs Eagles hour-long game and it was an excellent experience for our new team and great fun.
It was the first time Paddy had been between the pipes and he played very well for us. Thanks again to the badgers for coming down and hopefully ye can make it again soon.
